So unless you have to skills to weave in & out of the traffic while avoiding both the oblivious tourists and car mirrors, then save this daunting task for weeks 2 or 3 of your riding career. So where is good for beginners to practise? If you’re in the old town, just drive around for a few hours in the daytime or after 9. It’s quiet, the roads are wide and the pace is slow.
