¿Qué le pasa a la prensa española con INDITEX?

En pleno conflicto sindical con los trabajadores de sus centros logísticos, los directivos de INDITEX vuelven a lanzar una campaña de manipulación/marketing para lavar su imagen…y la prensa española lo compra.

CCOO Industria de Ferrol ha denunciado a inspección de trabajo a los responsables de los centros de logística de INDITEX en Ferrol para que la empresa tome las medidas necesarias para garantizar la seguridad de sus trabajadores ante la amenaza de contagios por CoronaVirus. Esta denuncia viene precedida de varias instancias a la empresa por parte de los trabajadores que fueron ignoradas.

La empresa no sólo no ha suspendido la actividad bajo la justificación de que “la ropa tiene que salir, si no sería una catástrofe económica para INDITEX”, sino que mantuvo las condiciones de trabajo en la planta de Narón sin garantizar las medidas de protección recomendadas. Los trabajadores seguían obligados a trabajar codo con codo, sin material de protección y manejando cargas procedentes de varios países extranjeros.

Los trabajadores han amenazado con ir a la huelga si no se cesa la producción en sus centros logísticos y varios sindicatos se han empezado a movilizar ante la amenaza de que INDITEX plantee ERTEs o fuerce a sus empleados a que cojan vacaciones.

Al ver que las protestas de los trabajadores empezaba a tener eco, INDITEX ha reaccionado con una nueva campaña de “marketing” anunciando que van a estudiar la posibilidad de fabricar material sanitario para combatir el Covid-19 y que ponen apoyo logístico para transportar desde China la compra que el Gobierno haga de material sanitario.

La prensa española, especialmente aquella que está silenciando las protestas de los trabajadores de los centros logísticos, ha cogido con gran entusiasmo el anuncio de INDITEX. Ya son muchos los ejemplos de manipulación informativa en casos relacionados con INDITEX. Sucedió con la condena por esclavitud por los tribunales brasileños, los mecanismo de evasión de impuestos denunciados por el partido verde en el parlamento europeo o con documentales únicamente mostrados en Francia sobre las condiciones laborales en los talleres de Zara en India.   Empieza a ser urgente que el periodismo en España se ponga al servicio de la ciudadanía y de la verdad y dejen de ser lacayo del poder económico.
